Tynron Doon greetings card

A familiar sight on the road from Thornhill to Moniaive, the fun to say Tyron Doon is what remains of an Iron Age hill fort, the hill itself being named (the equally fun to say) Auchengibbert. An L-shaped tower used to stand at its summit, and it's believed the stone from that 16th century structure was used to build the still standing church in nearby Tynron.
