Nestled between Carsethorn and Southerness, Powillimount is where you'll find this incredible cave. It's one of several rumoured hangouts of 16th century cannibal clan leader Sawney Bean, whose apparently fifty-strong incestuous cult simply adored luring unsuspecting travellers to a gruesome death. Nowadays of course, this would be a teatime TV show called "Come Dine On Me" - a lovely thought to have while you're in the cave, sheltering from wind, tucking into that individual pork pie.
