Made by iconic Frome-based manufacturer Benchairs, this Formica-topped beech-legged extendable dining table dates from the mid to late 1960s and is in remarkably good condition for its age. The Formica top is clean and without stains or nicks, and there is just a small amount of fading in one patch. There is one small piece missing from one of the edges (see pic 3), which becomes invisible when the table is extended. The slide mechanism for extending works smoothly and the underside still has the original Benchairs label.
